POWER Golf

Our thanks to 2013 POWER Golf Statewide Co-Chairs Carol Friend, partner and business immigration practice chair, Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP and
Mary Muir
, president, Core Connections, Inc. and to the incredible staff at Blythefield Country Club and Pine Lake Country Club!

In today’s hyper-connected world of email, texting, Twitter and Facebook, golf remains one of the best ways to build relationships. It should not be overlooked as an important business tool.

POWER Golf takes the typical golf outing to an entirely new level for golfers and non-golfers alike. What makes POWER Golf different makes it better.

POWER Golf's 9-hole afternoon scramble allows busy professionals to manage time constraints and still participate in a day on the course. Never even picked up a golf club? Try POWER Golf's golf clinic instead and learn a few basics – including lingo and etiquette – that will have you golfing in no time. Everyone – avid golfers and those who are still just thinking about the game – come together for top-notch networking and a great cause.

Proceeds from POWER Golf support Inforum Center for Leadership (ICL), the 501(c)3 education and research arm of Inforum. ICL programs serve a broad range of professional women in different stages and types of careers – from emerging leaders, to high-potential executives, high-tech entrepreneurs, and for-profit corporate board leaders. Inforum Center for Leadership also conducts and publishes research on women’s leadership influence in Michigan, including the Michigan Women’s Leadership Index.
