Inforum Board Member Kim Stine, vice president at Michigan Financial/Member, John Hancock Financial Network, has written an article that will be published in the upcoming edition of GAMA International Journal, a magazine devoted to professional development in the insurance and financial services industries.
The article deals with the firm's hiring process, which involves a specific interview process and additional testing. The result has been high rates of retention and development, Stine says.
"The article was primarily about how I interview and ultimately develop qualified candidates to be successful in the financial services industry by determining the proper markets for them to pursue before they take the steps to become licensed and registered," Stine said. "I am not aware of any other firms that practice this in-depth of an interviewing process during the initial stages of the process -- which in our industry is primarily known as the 'recruiting process' -- in this manner."
