Inforum Member to Appear on CNBC

Inforum member Sylvia Bandyke was one of five University of Michigan Baby Boomer graduates interviewed by Tom Brokaw for a two-hour documentary on the Baby Boom generation.

The show's producers selected Michigan because they wanted a large, public university in the Midwest where the alumni could speak about a vibrant campus experience as well as their lives now and thoughts on the future.  The five were basically the voice of a generation for his program based on their individual life experiences.

“Needless to say, I feel honored and excited by the whole experience and am enjoying sharing the news with friends and professional associates,” Bandyke said. “During the interview, [Brokaw] asked about my early days in the work force and changes I saw during my many years in the auto industry.”

Bandyke worked as an IT Support Manager at Ford Motor Co. before being downsized in January 2009. Currently, she is looking to utilize her skills in health care management.

The documentary is scheduled to be shown on CNBC the evening of March 4. For more information about the show, click here.
